We act as the "data fiduciary" for your information under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

We collect the following categories of personal information:

• Account information: name, email address, phone number, password (hashed), user type (owner / broker / builder / buyer).
• Property listing information: property details, photographs, location, price, contact preferences.
• Activity information: properties you save, view, or unlock; searches you run; plan requests you submit.
• Technical information: IP address, device type, browser, approximate location (city level), pages visited.
• Communications: emails or messages you send us, including content of your support requests.

We use your information to:

• Provide and maintain the Platform — display listings, route leads, deliver emails
• Verify your identity and prevent fraudulent accounts
• Send transactional emails (account confirmation, lead notifications, plan inquiries)
• Process subscription plan requests and follow up with sales calls
• Improve the Platform based on usage patterns
• Comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests

Marketing emails: We may send occasional product updates and announcements. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in those emails.

We share information only as described below — we do not sell your data:

• Between users: When you list a property, your contact name and phone are visible to verified buyers who unlock your listing. When you unlock a listing as a buyer, your name and contact may be shared with the seller.
• Service providers: We use third-party services for database hosting (Supabase), email delivery (Resend), and analytics. These providers process data on our behalf under strict confidentiality agreements.
• Legal compliance: We may share information when required by Indian law, court order, or to protect our rights and safety.

We retain your account information as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove or anonymize your personal information within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g., tax records, fraud prevention) or for legitimate business interests.

Listings you posted may remain visible in cached form for up to 90 days after deletion.

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit (HTTPS), encrypted storage, row-level access controls, and regular security reviews. However, no system is 100% secure — we cannot guarantee absolute protection against unauthorized access.

If we become aware of a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you and the relevant Indian authorities as required by law.

Under Indian law, you have the right to:

• Access: Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
• Correction: Update inaccurate or incomplete information
• Erasure: Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Withdrawal of consent: Opt out of marketing communications at any time
• Grievance redressal: Raise concerns with our grievance officer (details below)
